Stop the chariot: Acts 8:26-40

Get this image. Try to enter this passage with me... dive into it. You are Philip. You are in a city and you are preaching the gospel. Hundreds and thousands are coming to Christ. I can just see him with his evangelistic crusade tent pitched. I can see your children outside handing out Ten Commandments tracts. We are getting ready to hold an evangelistic meeting and invite everyone to come, but suddenly (verse 26 says), “ angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Arise, and go south to the way that from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert place.”
