Stop the chariot: Acts 8:26-40

Get this image. Try to enter this passage with me... dive into it. You are Philip. You are in a city and you are preaching the gospel. Hundreds and thousands are coming to Christ. I can just see him with his evangelistic crusade tent pitched. I can see your children outside handing out Ten Commandments tracts. We are getting ready to hold an evangelistic meeting and invite everyone to come, but suddenly (verse 26 says), “...an angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Arise, and go south to the way that from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert place.”
