Are You Ready to Defend the Gospel? Acts 24:27–26:1

“After a few days, King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea and greeted Festus. And as they remained there many days, Festus presented Paul's case before the king, saying, A man was left in prison by Felix, and when I was in Jerusalem, the chief priests and elders of the Jews presented their case against him., asking for a sentence of conviction against him. I replied that it was not the custom of the Romans to surrender anyone before the accused had met the accusers face to face, and had had an opportunity to make his defense of the charge that had been brought against him. So when they assembled here, I didn't linger, but the next day I took my place in the courtroom and had the man brought. When the accusers arose, they did not charge his case with such evils as I supposed. Instead, they had certain points of contention with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who was dead but who Paul claimed was alive.”
